UFC 126 Countdown Show airs February 2

The UFC 126 preview show airs Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV.  In the main event, Anderson Silva will be defending his UFC Middleweight Championship against the dangerous striker Vitor Belfort.  The card is stacked.  UFC 126 is live Saturday February 5 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.  Forest Griffin is excited...are you?

Herschel Walker Returns to the Cage January 29

At the age of 48, Herschel Walker (1-0) looks to defy the odds once again when he makes his Strikeforce return this Saturday.  His opponent will be Scott Carson (4-1) who has three victories by the way of submission.  The itch for competition continues drive Walker.  Will age catch up to the freak athlete?  Or will Herschel prove he has improved his game and should be taken seriously as a mixed martial arts competitor.     

Shinya Aoki vs Yuichiro Nagashima

At DREAM's Dynamite!! 2010 event in Japan, the dangerous submission expert Shinya Aoki (26-5) took on kick boxer Yuichiro Nagashima (3-2, 16-4 in K1) in a "special rules" fight.  The first round is purely kick boxing putting Nagashima at a high advantage.  If Aoki survives then the second round is MMA rules.  It's an interesting fight to say the least.  Check it out.

World Grand Prix Begins with Emelianenko vs Silva

February 12th marks the start of the Strikeforce Heavyweight World Grand Prix Tournament when Fedor Emelianenko takes on Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.  Fedor is looking to bounce back after being submitted and suffering his first official career defeat to Fabricio Werdum last June.  "Bigfoot" Silva enters the fight as the underdog and will be looking to shock Fedor and the world once again.  For a complete list of fights check out the full tournament bracket.   Also included on the card is the quarterfinal match up between Andrei Arlovski and Sergei Kharitonov. 

UFC 126: Preview Video

The UFC Middleweight Championship is on the line when Anderson Silva defends his title against the challenger Vitor Belfort.  Other fights include a co-main event match up between Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin, Jon Jones vs undefeated Ryan Bader, and Miguel Angel Torres makes his UFC debut taking on Antonio Banuelos.  For a full list of fights check out the FIGHT CARD.  UFC 126 is LIVE on PPV February 5th.
